Fill in the Blank Friday: 11/16/2012

1. My best quality is my compassion and empathy for all things, both living and non.

2. One of my less flattering qualities is my laziness; it's becoming a problem for me.

3. I'd rather be at home in bed, cuddled up with the mister and the frups.

4. Something I've been challenged with lately is patience! God is giving me a lesson and I am s l o w l y beginning to appreciate it.

5. I am looking forward to doing my best to spoil the mister on his birthday (near future) and obviously becoming a mother (God's timing).

6. A super random factoid about me is I am from a family of seven children; yes, same parents! We are all super close and talk at least once a week. I have the best memories of my childhood and can't imagine life without them.

7. I want to celebrate each day as a gift from above.

   This weekend I will be traveling to Austin to celebrate my sister, Caroline. She was married on November 4th in Mexico and we could not attend the wedding. My Godmother is throwing her a post-wedding shower and if it's anything like mine then it will be fabulous! I wish you a wonderful weekend and a very happy Friday!

1. I like puppy breath, sugar skulls, and pallets in the living room with my husband.

2. A goal of mine is to become a mother.

3. The last thing you would ever expect me to like (but I do) is probably Lil' Wayne, and maybe the Disney show Good Luck Charlie.

4. Some wise words that I adore are from the Bible, For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11. These words give me hope for a future healthy pregnancy, especially on days like today where that is all that I can think about.

5. Most mornings you will find me wide awake and ready for the day.

6. Right now I am super into Aztec print leggings!

7. Right now I am super over YOLO and people bashing our President.



   As I mentioned above my heart is heavy today. Thinking about the holidays makes me uneasy and sad. I'm sad because I want my May baby. I want to experience the holidays with a miracle growing inside of me. I want to post pictures on my instagram and Facebook of my expanding belly. I am being selfish for God had other plans for our baby Asher and for me. I do trust Him and believe in His love for me. For whatever reason today is just harder than yesterday but I know with time it will get better.

1. Something I swore I'd never do but ended up doing anyway is question the youth of America. I feel very old admitting saying that but I find myself worrying about "the way things were" and even telling my students, "back when I was your age"...

2. Something I've always wanted to do is become a mother.

3. Something I have absolutely no desire to do is sky dive or jump out off/out of any moving vehicle.

4. The best thing I ever did was marry my husband, Blake.

5. When it comes to trying new things I am cautious. As a child I was fearless but as I've grown older I've been hurt and that has made me fearful of new things. I don't deal well with change.

6. One thing I've never done is eat a tomato. This vegetarian is not a fan.

7. My favorite thing to do is spend time with family. Sometimes it could be just Blake and me on a pallet/mega bed in the living room with our three frups.

1. My favorite feeling in the world is: love, it can be both seen and felt.

2. My favorite smell is: vanilla and puppy's breath.

3. My favorite taste is: anything sweet. I might have the biggest sweet tooth in all of the land. Just maybe.

4. The most beautiful thing I have ever seen is: all of the love displayed at my wedding. Love really does make the world go round.

5. The best sound ever is: any type of laughter.

6. A smell that reminds me of childhood is: fire because it takes me back to my living room in Dallas. The smell of fire reminds me of how blessed I was and still am.

7. My favorite of all the senses is: my sense of sight.

   It's the most amazing fall weather right now, rain and a cold front blew in last night. Today is an early release day and I can't wait to check out Red box for a scary movie, throw on a comfy pair of p.j's and curl up with a blanket. I hope my entire weekend is like that. Rest and relaxation is just what the doctor ordered.

1. My favorite flower is different based on the occasion. For instance, my favorite flower to receive is a white rose, while my favorite flower to look at is a passionflower.

2. You should never talk about politics or religion. Both topics are far too sensitive to be casually brought up in any social setting.

3. My favorite discovery as of late is country time lemonade packets!

4. This fall you will probably find me wearing my new ugg and minnetonka boots and lots of layers.

5. I wish I were asleep. Lately I can't get enough!

6. My favorite TV show currently is Criminal Minds- it never gets old and I love it!

7. This weekend I want to go to the pumpkin patch and then decorate our front porch.

Even though this was a short work week I am so happy that today is Friday. Sometimes the shortest weeks are actually the longest. Happy Friday and better yet, happy weekend!

7. The last time I said I love you was this morning when Blake dropped me off at school.

1. Something I am very proud of is: overcoming certain anxieties. I've been implementing new techniques to control them.

2. My favorite thing about myself is: my compassion for all living things.

3. My favorite color for fall is: different from last year, I like the deep plum colors this year.

4. Something I've been learning lately is: everything is in God's timing. No matter how much I hope for certain things I have learned that I can pray about it and when God knows that I am ready it will happen. Patience.

5. A book I am reading now is: 50 Shades of Freedom.

6. My favorite Pandora station is: Britney Spears Radio.

7. This weekend I will be: getting rid of junk around the house! I can't wait to have a trash bag in my hands so that I can simply walk around and toss ANYTHING I haven't touched in the past six months!

1) Today is great because we have a staff bowling party after school, we are The Pin-Ups!

2) Tomorrow I will drive to Pflugerville to visit my awesome sister & my precious niece Riley.

3) My favorite time of day is the morning  because it's another reminder that God is good!

4) Sometimes you just have to cry it out.

5)  A song that I cannot get enough of lately is Give Your Heart a Break by Demi Lovato.

6) My favorite accessory is/are my bracelets, they hide my scars, but not all of them, it's just another reminder that God has a purpose for me, thats what they all remind me of.

7) My favorite thing about my week was talking to my parents. It's comforting to know that my Dad is doing better and that he is still here.

(3) People always compliment me on: my bracelets. I never take them off and continuously add to them. I feel naked without them, it reveals my vulnerability.

(5) The most cozy place in all the world is: my bed! I like to cocoon myself in miles of blankets... imagine The Princess & the Pea.

(6) Something new that I tried recently was: NOT getting into bed once I got home from work. I've kept myself busy and it feels great!

(7) This weekend I would like to: shop for the house & for myself... Spring cleaning & spring wardrobe, hooray!

1. My favorite color is turquoise!

2. My home decor palette includes burlap, white, brown, and turquoise.

3. Other people always tell me I look good in the color pink.

4. The color I detest is non existent, I love all colors!

5. If you were to look in my closet most of the colors you'd see are browns and greys.

6. A color I cannot pull off no matter how hard I try is all white, except for my wedding dress.

7. The color of my favorite dress is amazingly enough white, it's my wedding dress!

1. My favorite room in the house is the living room  because many are made there with friends and family as it is the heart of our home.

2. My current decor style is vintage junk chic, ha ha that's what my husband might say but I prefer shabby chic.

3. I wish I could redecorate my master bedroom!

4. My dream house absolutely has to have a master bath connected to the master.

5. One house item I am willing to splurge on is furniture, i.e. comfy cozy chairs, couches, mattresses.

6. A house trend I just don't get is modern style, I am not a fan of the put together clean lined empty look.

7. Photos and collections are a little touch that makes my house feel like a home.

Happy New Year! I am going to pause my daily activities more to blog. I have really been slacking and not worrying about it. Time to stop that. I'm baaack!

1) One of my favorite things to do when I have free time is: blog.

2) When I have free time I tend to: abuse it! I am lazy and should spend that time more wisely, like taking care of myself.

3) If I had an entire day completely to myself I would: go for a nice long walk, not worrying about pace, or distance. Then pamper myself in some way and finish the day by working on a few crafts.

4) I would prefer to spend my free time (alone or with others): depends on the activities I have planned but probably alone.

5) Most of my free time happens: after work and on weekends.

6) The best thing about free time is: having nothing to do!

7) The next time I have free time I should probably: clean out clothes in my dresser and closet but I'll probably relax and sleep instead.

(1) The holiday season is the perfect time to relax, breathe, and spend time with loved ones both near and far!

(2) Snow makes me giddy and fascinated! Down here in Texas we rarely see that beautiful white powder.

(3) The best comfort food to eat when its cold outside is mac & cheese, or shells & cheese. Yumm-o, I love shells & cheese.

(4) Winter is the best time for plumping up! Ha, ha, maybe that's just me.

(5) I can hardly wait to get out for winter break!

(6) When it comes to holiday gifts I like to give the unexpected. I don't like lists. So brace yourself for anything!

(7) If I were to rate myself on a scale of 1 to 10 for excitement over the holidays I would give myself a seven. Because seven is my favorite number.

(one) When I was a child I wanted to be an anesthesiologist when I grew up.

(two) As an adult, my dream job would be a mother and dog rescuer.

(three) When I was younger I wanted to be just like Fiona Apple.

(four) The childhood Halloween costume I remember most was when I dressed up as a baby...pacifier, tweety bird slippers, and a mu mu.

(five) My favorite childhood toy was my plastic shopping cart full of my belongings. My granddaddy used to call me a bag lady.

(six) The time that I got into the biggest amount of trouble when I was a child was when I got caught drinking and received an M.I.P, I let my parents down and I peed in my pants. Shameful.

(seven) I get daily inspiration from bloggers, my students, and pinterest.

On my to-do list today is to check out the new website www.wanelo.com it's where you can purchase PINTEREST products/inspirations.

I also failed to mention yesterday that on Wednesday night, Mr. D surprised me with that Nikon camera I have repeatedly put on my blog! I am such a lucky girl, I can't wait to show you all pictures!

(one) Nothing says fall like pumpkins, football games, cool crisp air.

(two) My favorite Autumn tradition is Halloween, dressing up and/or passing out candy to trick-or-treaters.

(four) Fall makes me think of our anniversary.

(six) My go to outfit for fall is: Sweater dress, boots, and a scarf.

(seven) My favorite Fall holiday is: HALLOWEEN, duh.

Today is going to be a fantastic day. We have early release today! I have been awake since four, not sure why I can't sleep so I am sure that by noon I will be ready to nap.

   So, I started a board on pinterest, workin' on my fitness, and I am happy to report that everyday I have been having my students do jumping jacks, and to touches with me. It gets their wiggles out and gives me that extra boost of energy.

(1) the most selfless thing i have ever done is give up something i wanted to someone who needed it and was a complete stranger.

(2) when it comes to working out i am pathetic. i just don't do it anymore. i know i need to.

(3) a woman should always feel loved.

(4) i wish i could talk to animals and then i'd become the 'animal whisperer'.

(5) a best friend is someone who listens to all the good the bad and the crazy things you have to say. a best friend is also someone with whom you can go months and years without speaking to and then pick up right where you left off.

(6) i can't get enough of all the halloween decor and flavors. i love this holiday!

(7) this weekend my blake & i are going to the local pumpkin patch to pick out some pumpkins and then hopefully go to market days (if they have it this weekend, last weekend was a car show)

today is our first pep rally at school for our fundraiser! so it should be a very festive day and i cannot wait to spend the weekend with my hubby and visit with my sister & niece while they are here.
