Friday The 13th

Ok, for real, I love scary movies, t.v shows, and dates. I love Friday the 13th. I can't explain how happy it makes me to have a Friday the 13th in the Fall, I am beyond excited. Perfect timing that Insidious 2 comes out today, I am anxious to go see that movie. Friday the 13th reminds me of my childhood and that is probably one reason I like it so much. I can remember staying up all night watching scary movie marathons on USA, and sleeping on the couch bed downstairs with my siblings. Why is it such a big deal? I don't have the answer, maybe because of the movie with Jason, or because it's supposed to be unlucky? Who knows. I hope to spend this evening watching Insidious 2 followed by Ghost Adventures (t.v. show), but we'll see. Wishing you a very happy Friday the 13th!

Weekend Review 1/28/2013

I spent the weekend relaxing just like I said I would. It was awesome. On Friday night my brother and his fiance came over to watch the Mavericks vs. Spurs game. Our beloved Mavs are, dare I say it, not having the greatest season and inevitably lost. Saturday morning came quickly and we decided upon a movie day. The first flick we watched was Taken 2, it was too so similar to the first and there wasn't really an element of surprise but still a good movie. Next, we watched The Possession which was creepy and I recommend it, then we watched Unknown, I had never heard of Unknown, but glad I found it because it was very suspenseful and kept me intrigued. On Saturday night we concluded our movie day by watching The Day after Tomorrow and what a movie to end the night with! I had never seen The Day after Tomorrow and didn't know what it was about but I loved it! On Sunday I got to visit the awesome Anna and her hip parents! It was the perfect way to wrap up my weekend. Last night was spent flipping between the SAG awards and The Real Housewives of Atlanta until 8 and then it was all about GIRLS and last nights episode was the best so far this season. "Right now, it's a Wednesday night baby and I'm alive!" I couldn't stop quoting Hannah and smacking my chest at the same time, Blake was not amused.

Here's Birdie all cozy on movie marathon day.

Sunday morning breakfast. Thanks to planning my meals I am down six pounds.

I won a Dirty, Messy, Hair giveaway and here's my loot!

a saturday movie review

bradley cooper, robert de niro (actors)

blake & i spent our friday night watching this thriller/action movie. the movie is about a struggling writer (bradley cooper) whose life mimics that of a homeless person. he is given a pill that allows 100% access to his brain. suddenly he has the power to remember, recall, and react to everything around him. the depth of his access is explored throughout the movie which keeps you intrigued. but, as we all know, something too good is usually too good. so at what cost/limit is it worth to take this pill? watch the movie & find out.

it was really good, the ending left you thinking "what?!?! more, more, more!", which is always good.
the acting and cinematic filming was awesome. 'on demand' it tonight!
