Yesterday on my 5 for five post I made one of my goals to not plop down on the bed to watch t.v. when I get home but to instead get my body moving. Imagine my surprise when I came home from work to find the Mister there, he gets home around six and it was 3:15, to take me to get an early Christmas gift; a gym membership for the two of us! The Mister chose a gym in Boerne that is open 24/7 which is perfect for us, especially me because I don't even want to be seen in spandex at the moment. But, I will get my body back, maybe not as quickly as I hope, but I will get there. My new goal for this week is to get the the gym at least four times before Monday.

Monday 5 for Five

I am loving this concept and decided today was the perfect day to begin setting my goals in which I hope plan to accomplish this week.
1. Wrap and give out all of my secret Santa gifts each day this week, and keep my identity a secret.
2. Begin taking care of myself, this means NOT coming home after work and plopping in bed to catch up on t.v., it means getting outside and going for a walk at least four times this week.
3. Finish the bulletin board outside of my classroom. It's an adorable gingerbread house that only has a door and windows at the moment.
4. Wrap the presents that I have and place them under our tree.
5. See the beauty in Him in all of the things around me, this includes remembering the true meaning of Christmas.

Sunday Social 12/9/2012
1. Favorite holiday movie/t.v. special?
Home Alone is my all time favorite movie, period. During Halloween & Christmas time I also have to watch The Nightmare Before Christmas. I'm also a sucker for Elf.
On of the organizations I am a sponsor for at school allows me to help collect toys for children in our community that wouldn't receive toys otherwise. It's affirming to see the students bring in bags and bags full of new toys to give to the needy.
3. Favorite toy received as a child?
My bright red power wheel Jeep. I can still remember my Granddaddy taking me outside to teach me to drive it and cautioning me on switching it onto high. I cherish that memory.
4. What was your must have item during the Holidays when you were in high school?
I can't quite remember but if I had to guess it would be money, electronics, and possibly clothes.
5. Item you begged for and never got?
My parents would be able to answer this I'm sure, but I remember always being delighted with everything I received.
6. What do you and your family do for Christmas Eve?
We attend Church that evening and then once we return we have a tradition of opening one present which is typically the one
Today my adorable nieces will be baptized. It marks the beginning of their new life with Christ. I look forward to watching them grow with Him. The Mister and I feel blessed that we can bare witness to the event and then celebrate after with our family. Today as we celebrate and come together I hope you have a super Sunday, too!

I Don't Care!
Things I don't care about...
I get it, everyone and their Princess is pregnant, except me.
Pretty much all Kardashian's but particularly Kim and her self obsession.
Please stop bickering like high schoolers via social media. Take it back old school style and bitch about one another to your friends NOT the entire world.
I'm baffled by the fact that she can violate probation and not be put in jail. Also, why is the woman going out? She needs to disappear for awhile, take a hint from Miss. Casey Anthony, honey. Seriously, WTF?
The Bachelorette & The Bachelor.
Fact: You will not find everlasting love on a television show unless you are Trista or Ashley.
Twilight. Is it over yet?
Facebook over-sharing. This isn't AIM, I miss the original Facebook, remember, when it was only for students who had a college email address which meant you were in fact a real life college student? Sigh.
Those are just a few things at the top of my I don't care list. It feels good to get them off my chest and into the blogging world. One other thing that is currently annoying to me is the silence of others; let me explain. The silence I am referring to is the lack of acknowledgement that I loss my baby. People were just congratulating me on my pregnancy and now there is silence, say something, "I'm sorry", or "I've been thinking/praying for you". Maybe it's just me being selfish. I also don't think one can truly "appreciate" a miscarriage unless they themselves have had one. Still, it's annoying to me that others know and chose not to say anything. I hope this isn't too depressing for a Friday. Have a wonderful weekend and let me know what you don't care about, perhaps this blog post?

Dear Santa...

It's the most wonderful time of the year, as many would say. For some reason this year I completely agree. I know I have mentioned before that I am the biggest fan of Halloween, (trust me I still am), but for whatever reason Christmas just feels different this year. Different in a good way. Many of my students have begun asking me what I want for Christmas and it's hard to not blurt out what I truly hope and pray for...a baby. So, instead I smile and say things like "Cold weather", "A snow day", "Candles", and usually I get a giggle or two out of them. This is probably the first year where Santa can not give me what I want, only God can. I believe what has helped make this season a good one is my faith in Him, I trust Him completely and know that he will give me the desires of my heart. I believe that. I've been spending my first fifteen minutes each morning focusing only on Him, whether it's pray, scripture, or a devotional my mind is on Him. My days are much better because of this. I want to encourage anyone reading this to try and do the same each morning. Cast all of your worries to the Lord, and pray about everything. Christ is the reason for the season, it's NOT about wants, and presents. As a society we definitely get caught up in the commercialization of Christmas. Please don't get me wrong and think I don't give gifts because of course I do, I am just suggesting we all remember why we are here and who gave us this wonderful life.
