After three and a half years of praying, crying, and many months of fertility treatments I am thrilled to announce that Blake and I are expecting a baby girl in October!
On January 25, 2014 I took a pregnancy test and this was what I saw:
So, for the past four months I have been keeping this huge secret. I feel relieved now that my coworkers and students know why I've been feeling so bad. I have felt some relief now that we are safely in the second trimester, (17 weeks) but I am not afraid to admit that my bed and bumpnest pillow are my best friends. Thank you to those who have prayed over us, sent me personal emails of encouragement, and to my family members who kept our secret from the world, even when all we wanted to do was rejoice in His blessing.
We have chosen the name Hogan (my maiden name) Virginia (my mother's name) for our daughter. I look forward to documenting my pregnancy thru the blog.
