1. My favorite room in the house is the living room  because many are made there with friends and family as it is the heart of our home.

2. My current decor style is vintage junk chic, ha ha that's what my husband might say but I prefer shabby chic.

3. I wish I could redecorate my master bedroom!

4. My dream house absolutely has to have a master bath connected to the master.

5. One house item I am willing to splurge on is furniture, i.e. comfy cozy chairs, couches, mattresses.

6. A house trend I just don't get is modern style, I am not a fan of the put together clean lined empty look.

7. Photos and collections are a little touch that makes my house feel like a home.

Happy Friday, ya'll! Once the clocks strikes 3p.m. I will officially be spring breakin' it! Wa-hoo!

Today's Target post is all about home improvement. there are still some little, and not so little items I long for to place in our forever house. My next huge big purchase will be a kitchen island. I have been looking on Craigslist & at the GGoodwill for something to use to recreate an island and with no luck it seems like good ole' Target will get some money from me. Even if a million other people have the same island I can for sure customize it and make it personal to our family.

i survived the first week of school! hip-hip-hooray!

woke up early this morning to go thrifting... got a lot of treasures to create some diy projects.

one project is making a pie/desert tray for rebecca and brigham. found the most amazingly colorful and creative plate ever. super excited! i also scored a brass candle holder to serve as the stand. can't wait to show you all my creation.

back to the six places in no particular order...

the rest of my day will be spent crafting (hopefully), today's high is set to be 109 hellacious degrees. happy saturday bloggies!

we are so blessed to have had blakes parents come into town and help whip me into shape. kathy, blake's mom did everything for us. it has eased almost all of my stress as the school year is to begin tomorrow. she is such an angel, thank you, kathy!

i cried after they left, i hate saying goodbye.

it's nice to end such a good weekend knowing the house is unpacked, laundry is done, and everyone has their health.

god is so good all of the time!
