we are so blessed to have had blakes parents come into town and help whip me into shape. kathy, blake's mom did everything for us. it has eased almost all of my stress as the school year is to begin tomorrow. she is such an angel, thank you, kathy!

i cried after they left, i hate saying goodbye.

it's nice to end such a good weekend knowing the house is unpacked, laundry is done, and everyone has their health.

god is so good all of the time!

it's lauren's birthday & time to link-up!

1) my most favorite birthday was: my 23rd birthday, spent in austin with all of my best friends & sisters.

2) my worst birthday was: my 22nd birthday, i celebrated the one year anniversary of my 21st birthday and i didn't have as much fun and not as many people celebrated with me.

3) my favorite birthday memory is: when i was growing up i received blow-pops every birthday, it was a big deal, and i can't ever forget it. i also love the memories of being with my entire family on my birthday and everyone joining in and celebrating.

4) the best birthday present i ever received was: most recently my michael kors watch from my husband.

5) the best birthday present i've ever given was: i'm not sure. i am usually disappointed by people's reaction. i anticipate them being way to excited, lol.

6) birthdays are: a reminder of how loved we are & how precious life is.

7) my favorite age so far has been: 18, i was young, free, and full of hope for the future but really only living for each day.

miscellany monday: 8/8/2011

1) today i am motivated to get outside and workout.

2) i plan on finishing these stools that i got over a month ago:

3) i am going to continue to make healthy meals for myself and stick to my diet plan. down two pounds.

4) i plan on unpacking one box and finishing my crayon wreath for my classroom.

5) i do not understand reality tv. i don't know anyone who sleeps with their makeup on, wakes up with perfect makeup & hair. if you are going to be real, then be real! i am sort of sick of all of this genre.

6) i am looking forward to katie holmes new movie, don't be afraid of the dark, or something like that, it looks scary!

7) i want to do a beauty giveaway.

a week's review: 8/1/2011-8/7/2011

this week i felt overwhelmed. my plate felt full and i was unable to dig deep within myself to find a solution to the situation. with the help of fellow blogger eclectically e i found motivation to unpack on box per day. below are the empty boxes ready for recycling pick-up!

i saw this diy cheap project and had to try it. the beads are actually a much prettier blue, and i found everything at the dollar tree.

i posted about my classroom needs and financial woes. blake printed out a zillion coupons for me and brought them home to me with these supplies. my heart is full and humbled by the outpouring of help that others have offered.

bella went to her check-up and we found out that she does not need anymore surgeries and she is on the road to recovery.

headboard is almost complete, this picture does not show the birds i added to the ends of the garland.

today will be spent going through boxes, painting, and preparing for the up and coming week.

happy happy birthday to my sweet mother-in-law, kathy.

i hope everyone gives thanks to Him and has a relaxing day.
